Service Improvement Conference: Hear By Right - ‘What’s changed?’

Introduction

This conference is a celebration of the achievements of organisations that have completed their first cycle of Hear by Right and a learning opportunity for those organisations that are just beginning the process or are considering doing so.

The morning will comprise of a series of presentations by organisations that have completed Hear by Right, speaking about something that has changed their organisation and improved services for children and young people as a result. There will also be an opportunity for organisations that are new to the tool to speak to people from these organisations about the practicalities of implementing Hear by Right standards.

Learning Outcomes;

At the end of the training participants will:

  1. Understand Hear by Rights standards and how they relate to Every Child Matters.
  2. Understand how hear by Right can be used for improving the existing work of their organisation and services with children and young people.
  3. Have seen real examples of how Hear by Right can develop and improve service delivery.
  4. Have had the opportunity to speak to experienced Hear by Right users about the realities of implementing it and to be able to start to consider how their organisation could implement the standards.
  5. Be aware of the dedicated people in and out of county who can support them to implement Hear by Right, and how to contact them.

Dates and Venue:

Wednesday 20th February 2008 – The Petwood Hotel, Woodhall Spa.

10:00am to 1:30pm. Refreshments will be provided from 9:30am and lunch will be provided at 1.30pm.

Nominations

There will be places for 40 participants

Please send your fully completed nomination form to Lynda Leighton, Training Section, Orchard House, Orchard Street, Lincoln. LN1 1BA, by the closing date of 20th January 2008 at the latest.  Letters will then be sent to all applicants confirming whether or not you have been allocated a place.
