From 1 April 2009, Children’s Links has become a member of the Sadeh Lok Housing Group along with its subsidiary Linking Up Limited. This will support the commitment to deliver innovative and cohesive community services.
This joint venture will not only offer enhanced services to existing tenants of the housing association, but will continue to build on the national platform established by Children’s Links during its fifteen year history, now delivering services throughout England.
The charity delivers a range of supportive services across the UK for the benefit of these groups, including services in Lincolnshire, West Yorkshire, Hampshire, Bradford, South Bedfordshire, Thurrock and others.
Kate Truscott, Chairman of Children’s Links, said “I am delighted that Children’s Links is joining in this exciting new venture with Sadeh Lok, which will enhance the provision of children’s services nationwide and help us to make a positive difference to many more children, young people, families and communities in the coming years.”
Pat Tarttelin, the new managing Director of Children’s Links, commented, ”We’re delighted to be associated with this forward thinking group. It will give Children’s Links an opportunity to deliver more of our sought-after services, like Play Rangers, childcare development and support, as well as help develop more and better training for people who work with children. Linking Up will benefit enormously from association with Sadeh Lok’s other innovative enterprises.”
Commenting on the merger, Balbir Singh Uppal, Sadeh Lok Group Chairman said, “The advent of Children's Links and Linking Up Limited joining the award winning Sadeh Lok Housing Group will allow us to harmonise the expertise within the two companies. It is our intention that the enlarged group will not only operate effectively and efficiently on a national basis but at the same time will retain its focus on its regional tenants and customers to ensure they also enjoy the benefits of its enhanced service delivery.”
