After a visit to a local South Beds CSV meeting to plan the up and coming event. We were faced with a room full of young enthusiastic adults. Knowing that there was help needed for the holidays we found this the perfect opportunity to try and get them on board. Asking around the room for people who would be interested in working with children on  a Play session, four people showed a keen interest and ended up joining an Introduction to Play work course and then a Playing on the Range Course. Within a few weeks of the meeting they were trained and keen to help South Bedfordshire's children receive the best possible play activities. Just in time for the summer!
    
The volunteers really got a chance to show their talents and had as much fun as the children. They enthusiastically took part in fishing, dressing up in all different costumes, water and rope games, hammock and den building (lots of) plus a whole host of games for the children and parents to enjoy. Without the volunteers the children of Downside and Leighton Buzzard would not have been able to go on a highly successful swimming trip to a local swimming pool with slides and flumes. The children of Leighton Buzzard would not have been able to climb trees safely and go paddling in the local river to
catch fish.
