Junior Youth Inclusion Programme (JYIP)

What is the JYIP?

  • JYIP is a preventative programme
  • Working with 8-12 yr olds who are at risk of social exclusion and or at risk of being involved in crime/anti-social behaviour (ASB) 

Where Do We Work?

  • Boston
  • Grantham
  • Lincoln
  • Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea

 
What Do We Do?

We provide targeted additional support to individual children and their families. This can include:

1. One to One and Group Work sessions focusing on:

  • Anger management strategies
  • Social skills
  • Building self-esteemn and confidence

2. Activites - at lunch-time, after school and in the holidays:

  • Communication/Team building workshops
  • Archery
  • Canoeing/kayaking
  • Rock climbing
  • Arts & Crafts, Music and Drama projects 
  • Sports
  • Drop-in's/clubs
  • Residentials

3. Work closley with the families providing support and holding parenting groups

4. Work closley with local schools, agencies and services to provide support and develop interesting and useful projects together such as Bike Repair workshops and drama projects focusing on discrimination and ASB.

What Do We Hope To Achieve?

  • Enable children and young people to be happier and more confident
  • Enabling them to achieve and enjoy at school and in life. 
  • Provide positive activities to reduce children/yp being bored and getting into trouble. 
  • Ensure children and families get the support they need
