The highly qualified and occupationally competent training team develops and delivers courses that inform and support childcare workers. Children's Links is recognised as one of the leading Playwork centres in the country and is committed to equality of opportunity. The flexible training and consultancy services, tailored to meet the needs of our clients are delivered throughout the UK.

The Playwork Apprenticeship programme has been designed to provide skills and knowledge to people wishing to develop a career while gaining a nationally recognised qualification in Playwork. An apprentice works in a childcare setting to gain practical skills, and is supported by a dedicated assessor to build a portfolio of evidence towards a qualification 'framework' including NVQ level 2 or 3 qualification, Key Skills and technical certificate.
Our training and qualifications programme offers a range of courses to suit all levels of experience.

The course are run at a variety of locations and are designed to meet learners' needs, and can be delivered at flexible times including at weekends or by distance learning.

What support is Available for Learners?

All our staff have many years experience of delivering high quality training and are experts in their fields.

We work to the SkillsActive National Code of Practice for the delivery of training.

We offer all learners advice and support on selecting the most suitable training to meet their needs.

We aim to ensure that learners find every session practical, informative and enjoyable.

Consultancy Services
We have worked with local authorities, Children's Fund, after school clubs plus many other customers to design and deliver a range of courses to suit their specific needs.

Any of the courses listed previously can be offered to groups for in house professional development. In addition we are able to design programmes specifically for your staff development needs; our training officers come from a huge range of backgrounds with many years of experience in childcare, playwork, school support and teaching. They are therefore ideally placed to be able to discuss and develop training to match your needs. In addition the courses listed below are programmes we have delivered very successfully in the past and are available for groups to access.

Price is on application and is dependent on venue costs and distance traveled for delivery.
