ParentAssess Services

Children’s Links has announced that its team is now fully trained to deliver ParentAssess, a nationally recognised assessment framework, across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and Leicestershire. This development marks a significant step forward in strengthening support available to families and professionals across the region.

What is ParentAssess?

ParentAssess is widely respected for its structured, evidence-based approach to parenting assessments, helping practitioners and courts gain a clearer understanding of a parent’s strengths, capacity for change, and ability to meet their child’s needs.

By adopting this model, Children’s Links aims to provide high-quality, consistent assessments that place children’s welfare at the centre of decision-making.

Our Approach

Our newly trained practitioners are fully trained in ParentAssess and bring extensive experience of working with families in a range of circumstances, including those navigating complex circumstances such as:

  • Separation and co-parenting challenges

  • Court proceedings

  • Involvement with services such as Cafcass

Their training in ParentAssess enhances their ability to deliver clear, balanced, and child-focused assessments that support better outcomes for families.

We deliver:

  • Consistent, high-quality assessments

  • Clear and accessible reporting

  • A child-centred approach throughout

A spokesperson for Children’s Links said the organisation is “committed to ensuring families and professionals across the East Midlands have access to trusted, nationally recognised assessment services. Investing in ParentAssess training reflects our dedication to quality, consistency, and improving outcomes for children.”

Who We Work With

The rollout of ParentAssess across the four counties will enable local authorities, courts, and partner organisations to access timely, professional assessments closer to home. This is expected to reduce delays and provide families with clearer pathways toward stability and improved parenting arrangements.

Why Choose Children’s Links?

  • Nationally recognised assessment framework
