Enabling Family Time is a short, child focused service to establish or re-establish contact for families with a maximum of three (3) supervised family time sessions, commissioned by Cafcass on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.

It is designed to support children to establish or re-establish connection in order to spend meaningful time with their parent who they don’t live with or another adult that is important to them when families are involved in private law family court proceedings.

It will support Cafcass Family Contact Advisors (FCAs) where family time is highly likely in the final court order to understand how family time is progressing. This service is available only when a Family Court Advisor (FCA) is working with a family and assesses that the service is safe, appropriate and in the best interest of the child(ren) and will benefit the family.

The areas we cover are: Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.
