Whole Team Day 2025: Celebrating Our Staff and Values

On Monday 1st September, Children’s Links came together at Winthorpe Community Centre near Newark for our annual Whole Team Day – and what a fantastic day it was!
Every year, Whole Team Day is a special opportunity to connect with colleagues, celebrate our shared values, and reflect on the incredible work happening across Children’s Links. This whole-team-day-2025-celebrating-our-staff-and-valuesyear was no exception, with a brilliant mix of learning, laughter, creativity, and recognition.
We began the day with refreshments and a warm welcome before diving into activities. Our Communications Coordinator Amy shared a ‘You Said, We Did’ presentation based on the results of our recent Staff Survey, highlighting the actions Children’s Links has taken to ensure staff feel happier and more supported.
Then came the team-building challenge – building structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows (which was trickier than it sounds, but sparked plenty of teamwork and laughter!).
Toni Robinson from Nucleus HR also delivered an insightful session on Modern Slavery. To bring this important subject to life, we created our own snakes and ladders games themed around awareness and prevention.
The afternoon continued with a nursery rhyme quiz before gathering for one of the highlights of the day: the Children’s Links Awards. Staff were recognised for embodying our values of Learning, Innovation, Inclusion, Nurturing, Kindness, and Striving for Success. A huge congratulations to all of our winners and highly commended colleagues – your dedication is what makes Children’s Links such a special organisation. 🌟
With delicious lunch, engaging activities, and plenty of opportunities to connect, Whole Team Day 2025 left us feeling inspired, informed, and proud to be part of the Children’s Links family!
