> New scheme for Detainee's at Morton Hall
At Morton Hall, Children's Links have teamed up with a Charity, Storybook Dad's, and now offer a scheme for Detainee's which allows them to record themselves reading stories for their children. The recording facilities at Morton Hall are state of the art. Joanne Crawford, Family Support Deputy at Morton Hall, has been working with Officer Shaun Collins to provide the service.
The first customer was Mr M, who has two children. He read and recorded 'The Gruffalo' and 'We are going on a Bear Hunt'. He thanked Children's Links for giving him the chance to do something for his children. The recordings are saved on to CDs and sent to Mr M's children.
> What's going on at our Nurseries?
Muddy Boots Nursery, Leicester, have teamed up with a provider in Sweden. A lady named Lotte whom has 4 settings. Lotte keeps visiting Muddy Boots Nursery and has put some photos of her visit on her Facebook page. Lisa Wheeler, Business Development Manager, and Caroline Farley, Nursery Manager, plan to make a visit over to Sweden in the Spring. The Children at Muddy Boots had lots of fun making lollipops with conkers, during Lotte's visit.
