Welcome to our new training officer, Angela Hufton. Angela has started with Children's Links after many years as an Ofsted inspector. She has huge experience of delivery in a range of different colleges and many years of support for the Childminding sector as well as being trained in Playwork delivery, so ideally compliments the training team and adds yet another area of expertise to our team in Lincolnshire. Muddy Boots Nursery, Leicester, have been linking with a Language consultant to carry out a project to promote children's speech and language. This involves observations and base line assessments of children's current stage of progress and then measuring the impact of a range of strategies, used by practitioners to enhance their own interactions and communication, thus promoting the development of the children.
Maple Vue Nursery, Aldershot, are having some new fencing erected, which will provide them with additional outdoor space. They have already started to consult with Early Years advisors to create a natural open ended learning space in the new area. They have also done some fundraising which has enabled them to purchase astro turf to enhance part of the existing outdoor space.
