As an organisation involved with children's services for over 20 years. Alongside these we offer continuous professional development to support excellent services for children and young people.

NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce

This course enables you to become an early years educator.

What is the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)?

This qualification  prepares learners to become Early Years

Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.

 

How is the qualification made up?

The units for this qualification are structured around four themes:

Theme 1 Health and well-being

Theme 2 Legislation, frameworks and professional practice

Theme 3 Play, development and learning for school

Readiness

Theme 4 Professional development

Learners must achieve 23 mandatory units (486 guided learning hours)

How will Children’s Links deliver the qualification?

The qualification will be delivered through a blended learning package.  This includes workshops, observations in the

workplace, 1:1 tutorials, distance learning packs, home study,

telephone, email and online support.  All learners are allocated their own personal tutor.   We use an online portfolio system, therefore access to a computer is preferable, though not essential.

How long will it take to achieve this qualification?

This qualification will take approximately 18 months to 2 years to complete.

 

What is the cost of this course?

The full cost of this qualification is £2,000.   

This can be paid in a one off payment or a payment plan arranged.

NCFE CACHE Level 3 Award in Preparing to Work in Homebased Childcare

This qualification is designed for students who wish to be employed in home based childcare settings.

This qualification prepares learners to set up a home based childcare setting. It is also suitable for learners who wish to be employed in home based childcare settings as childminding assistants or other home childcarers (e.g. nannies, au pairs).

Unit 1 provides learners with the knowledge required to work with children in a home based childcare setting.

Unit 2 prepares learners to set up a home based childcare business. It covers:

Leading and managing a home based childcare setting

Financial and taxation requirements when setting up a home based childcare setting

Creating a business plan

Registration requirements for home based childcarers.

Unit 3 prepares learners to explore the role and responsibilities of the Nanny. This unit will consider challenging aspects to this role as well as introducing sources of support, advice and guidance. It covers:

Partnership working

Expectations required of the role

The role of advisory, guidance and support services

How to plan steps to become a Nanny
