Expand What is the Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator)? This qualification prepares learners to become Early Years Educators, enabling them to work with children from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years. How is the qualification made up? The units for this qualification are structured around four themes: Theme 1 Health and well-being Theme 2 Legislation, frameworks and professional practice Theme 3 Play, development and learning for school Readiness Theme 4 Professional development Learners must achieve 23 mandatory units (486 guided learning hours) How will Children’s Links deliver the qualification? The qualification will be delivered through a blended learning package. This includes workshops, observations in the workplace, 1:1 tutorials, distance learning packs, home study, telephone, email and online support. All learners are allocated their own personal tutor. We use an online portfolio system, therefore access to a computer is preferable, though not essential. How long will it take to achieve this qualification? This qualification will take approximately 18 months to 2 years to complete. What is the cost of this course? The full cost of this qualification is £2,000.
