💛 Supporting Families
In April, we received wonderful feedback from a parent who had attended one of our Contact Centres and was successfully reunited with their child.
“I have been in court today for my child, and we do not require your services anymore as we have got my child back home. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team for what you have all done for us, giving up your Saturdays etc. Everyone at the centre has been brilliant, and I can’t thank you and your team enough for being so supportive.”
Moments like these remind us why our work matters and the difference our staff and volunteers make every day.
📚 Celebrating Jack Marshall
We're incredibly proud to celebrate former Play Scheme attendee and colleague Jack Marshall, whose book 'The Boy Who Can Not Smile' has now been published. Jack's journey is one of resilience, determination and finding his voice, and we're delighted to see his story shared with others.
🧡 Thank You, Volunteers
During Volunteers' Week, we celebrated the amazing individuals who give their time to support Children's Links. Their dedication helps us make a positive difference to children, young people and families across our communities.
🧸 Summer Fun Across Our Services
Children and families enjoyed Teddy Bears' Picnic activities across several Children's Links settings this summer. Shining Stars Nursery welcomed 39 families to its event and raised £100, while also securing £1,000 through Tesco's blue token scheme. It was wonderful to see so many children and families enjoying the celebrations.

Throughout the spring and summer, colleagues from across Children's Links came together for learning, collaboration and celebration.
From our Managers' Day at Wilder Doddington to our Whole Team Day at Lincoln City Football Club, these events provided valuable opportunities to share learning, strengthen relationships and recognise achievements.
